RÈGLEMENTS GÉNÉRAUX 
SALON DES ARTS DU PRINTEMPS

24-25-26 AVRIL 2020

BÉNÉVOLAT

 

Afin d’assurer un bon déroulement du salon, vous devez impérativement assurer au moins 1 période de garde, 2 s’il n’y a pas suffisamment d’exposants.

Les exposants sont donc tenus de signer lors du dépôt de leurs oeuvres une période de garde avec leur nom et initiales.

Même si vous n’exposez pas cette fois-ci votre aide serait bien appréciée.

Toutes les inscriptions incomplètes vous seront retournées afin qu’elles soient complétées.

 

Voici les plages qui devront être couvertes durant l’exposition.  Votre inscription à une plage sera faite, comme mentionné, lors du dépôt des œuvres :

·     Vendredi (vernissage aide à la cuisine) de 17 h 30 à 19 h – 19 h à 21 h 30

·     Samedi de 10 h à 13 h

·     Samedi de 13 h à 16 h

·     Dimanche de 10 h à 13 h

·     Dimanche de 16 h jusqu’au départ du dernier artiste (responsables à la signature du départ des toiles)

 

ŒUVRES :

 

  • Les artistes en Arts Visuels peuvent soumettre une ou deux œuvres d’art de leur choix tout en spécifiant leur priorité de choix selon des dimensions, tous médiums confondus (huile, aquarelle, acrylique, pastel, sculptures, etc.).  

  • Les artistes en Métiers d’Arts peuvent soumettre leurs œuvres du format de leur choix mais un maximum de 3 blocs d’exposition vous sera attitré comme espace.  À noter que vous devrez être sur place en tout temps pour la vente de vos items (articles multiples) et vous serez responsable de votre caisse.

  • Les renseignements sur le titre, le format de l’œuvre (H x L), le médium et le prix sont obligatoires à l’inscription et ne peuvent être modifiés par la suite étant donné que les étiquettes et listes seront produites à l’avance.

  • Il n’est pas nécessaire que les œuvres soient à vendre, la mention collection privée peut être apposée. Mais notre expérience démontre que les visiteurs sont très déçus lorsqu’ils ne peuvent pas acheter ces œuvres.

  • L’œuvre ne doit pas avoir été exposée à la maison Hamilton lors d’expositions antérieures.

  • Les œuvres doivent être originales, aucuns produits dérivés ne seront acceptés.  Les compositions à partir de matériel publié ou d’œuvres d’autres artistes ne sont pas considérées originales.  Si produites à partir de photos ces dernières doivent être vôtres.

  • Un tableau qui est une étude d’un grand maître, décédé depuis plus de 50 ans sera accepté en raison de la loi sur les droits d’auteur.  Il faut en faire mention sur le carton de présentation de l’œuvre. (ex : étude de…) Ces tableaux seront hors concours.

  • Tous les tableaux soumis doivent être secs et prêts pour l’accrochage avec œillets et fil d’acier.

 

 

REMISE DES ŒUVRES

 

  • Vous devez apporter vos œuvres le mercredi 22 avril à la maison Hamilton entre 13 h 30 et 18 h 30.  Aucune œuvre ne sera acceptée après cette date.

  • On demande des frais d’inscription de 15,00 $ lors de la remise des tableaux si ce n’est pas déjà fait. 

  • Les tableaux doivent être adéquatement identifiés au verso : nom de l’artiste, titre de l’œuvre, format et prix.

  • Le contrat d’exposition signé par l’artiste ou son mandataire devra être remis pour la consignation de l’œuvre et la décharge de responsabilité de la ville et du comité.

  • Noter que ni la ville de Rosemère ni le C.A. du RAR ne se tient responsable des tableaux exposés (bris, vol, feu, eau, vandalisme, etc.).  Il revient à chacun de s’assurer.

 

CARTON D’INVITATION

Nous vous enverrons une invitation en format électronique par courriel et nous vous encourageons de le faire parvenir à tous vos contacts : amis, parenté, professionnels, coiffeuse, massothérapeute etc. Demander aussi à vos contacts de faire de même. Cela crée un effet pyramidal qui fait beaucoup de publicité pour le salon.  Vous recevrez des cartes d’invitation à la remise des œuvres.

Autre suggestion est de placer des cartons d’invitation dans les boîtes à lettre de vos voisins. 

ACTIVITÉS DURANT L’EXPOSITION

  • Lors du vernissage le vendredi, du vin et des breuvages seront servis ainsi que des amuses gueules.

 

JOURS ET HEURES D’OUVERTURE DE L’EXPOSITION

L’exposition se tiendra à la maison Hamilton 106, chemin Grande-Côte, à Rosemère.

  • le vendredi 24 avril de 13 h à 21 h

  • le samedi 25 et dimanche 26 avril de 10 h à 16 h

Le vernissage aura lieu le vendredi 24 avril de 19 h à 21 h

                                                                                                                                         

DÉCROCHAGE

 

  • Le décrochage se fera à compter de 16 h à 17 h le dimanche 26 avril.  À noter qu’aucun tableau ne doit être décroché tant qu’il y a des visiteurs.

  • Vous devrez présenter votre œuvre à la sortie et signer un document à cet effet. 

  • Si vous ne venez pas chercher vous-même votre œuvre, la personne déléguée devra avoir en main une autorisation signée de votre part.  Vous devrez en avoir avisé un membre du C.A.

  • Les œuvres qui n’auront pas été décrochées seront laissés dans les locaux à vos risques et périls.  Après 16 h le dimanche 26 avril, les œuvres non réclamées ne sont pas la responsabilité du comité d’administration.  Vous comprenez qu’au nombre d’exposants et à la charge de travail qu’une exposition exige en préparation et en réalisation, nous voulons éviter de devoir prendre en charge des œuvres non réclamées.

 

INSCRIPTION

 

  • Pour s’inscrire, remplir le formulaire d'inscription et le faire parvenir à danrene@sympatico.ca

  • La date limite d’inscription est le jeudi 16 avril jusqu’à minuit.  Advenant le cas où nous n’aurions pas assez de tableaux à cette date, nous allons demander aux artistes inscrits avant la date d’échéance, d’augmenter le nombre de leurs tableaux pour remplir les salles de la Maison Hamilton.

  • Advenant le cas où il manquerait d’espace pour accrocher tous les tableaux, nous procéderons par ordre prioritaire selon le formulaire d’inscription.

VOLUNTEER DUTY

 

To ensure the success of the exhibition, it is imperative that you be available to be on duty for at least one time slot, maybe two, if there are not many participants.
Participants are to sign up for their volunteer time when they drop off their artwork, by signing and initializing the form.

Even if you do not participate in the exhibit, you can still volunteer your time, it’s appreciated. 

All inscriptions should be forwarded to Danielle Forget at danrene@sympatico.ca.

All incomplete registrations will be returned to the artist to be finalized.

The following time periods need to be covered during the exhibition. As mentioned above, you will be asked to choose a time period when you drop off your artwork:

 

·      Friday (‘vernissage’ help in the kitchen) from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. – 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

·      Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

·      Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

·      Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

·      Sunday from 4 p.m. until the last artist leaves (responsible for sign-out of all art pieces).

 

ARTWORK :

 

  • For the Visual Arts category, one or two works of art per member may be submitted depending on the size of your work, specifying your preference, all media combined (oil, water colours, pastel, mixed media, sculptures, etc). 

  • For the Arts and Crafts, any number of works of art may be submitted but the space permitted is limited to 3 exhibition blocks. Also, you must ensure your availability or have someone full time for coverage of your sales (multiple items) and responsibility for your cash box.

  • Information on the title, size and price must be marked at time of registration and may not be subsequently changed, since the tags will already be prepared. 

  • The works of art do not have to be for sale; "private collection" may be indicated as an alternative although many visitors have proven to be disappointed when they are not able to buy the art.

  • The work of art must not have been part of a previous exhibition at the Hamilton House.

  • These works of art must be original work, no derivatives will be accepted. Products created based on public materials or other artist’s work are not considered originals. Should they be created from photographs, they must be your own.

  • A study of a master, dead for at least 50 years, will be accepted based on the law on copyright.  You have to indicate it on the identification card (i.e.  study of…)  These art pieces will not be eligible for any contests. 

  • All mural art pieces must be dry, ready and equipped with proper hanging material

 

SUBMITTING THE ARTWORK:

 

  • You must bring your artworks to Hamilton House on Wednesday, April 22 between 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.  No artwork will be accepted after this date. 

  • We ask for a $15 fee when you drop off your artwork, if you have not already paid.

  • Artwork must be identified on the back, with the artist's name, the title, the size and the price (for example, with a post-it). 

  • A contract will be filled out on site for consignment of the artwork and acceptance of the Town's and the Committee's waiver of responsibility. 

  • Please note: Both the Town of Rosemère and the Board of Directors of Rosemère Artists' Gathering will not be held responsible for the exhibited artwork (breakage, theft, fire, water, vandalism, etc). It is therefore up to each person to take out his or her own insurance in this regard.

 

INVITATION CARD

We will send you the invitation by e-mail and we encourage you to send it to all your contacts, such as friends, acquaintances, professionals, hairdresser, etc. and also ask them to forward it to others. It creates a pyramid effect which makes a lot of advertising for the exhibition. You will also receive invitation cards when you drop off your artwork.

 

ACTIVITY DURING THE EXHIBITION

            Beverages and snacks will be served on Friday at the ‘vernissage’.

 

EXHIBITION DATES AND SCHEDULE

 

The exhibition will be held at Hamilton House, 106 Grande-Côte in Rosemère

  • Friday, April 24 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The ‘vernissage’ will be held on Friday, April 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

 

DISMANTLING

 

  • Dismantling will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. Please note that no artwork will be taken down while there are still visitors on the premises.

  • You will have to sign a document confirming that you are retrieving your artwork.

  • If you don't personally come to pick up your artwork, the person you appoint will have to show signed authorization from you and you will also have to have given prior notification of this authorization to a member of the Board of Directors.

  • Artwork not dismantled will be removed and stored in a small room on the second floor at your own risk and peril. As of 4 p.m. on Sunday, the Board of directors are absolved of all responsibility regarding unclaimed artwork.

 

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION

 

Artists must register their works of art before Thursday, April 16, 2019 at midnight.

 

Please use the registration form, received by e-mail, and forward the information to Danielle Forget.

In the event that we do not have enough pieces to fill the room, we will then ask the artists, who have registered before the deadline, to increase the number of pieces for the exhibit.
